Registration for current families who are re-enrolling is protected in the month of January.

Open Enrollment is available to new families beginning February 1. New families are encouraged to enroll as soon as possible after February 1 to ensure placement for the fall semester.

The regular school day begins for our students at 8 am. and ends at 3:20 pm. 

Yes, we offer before school care as early as 6:30 am and after school care as late as 6:00 pm. Students who have homework are encouraged to finish their homework in after school care before they begin playing.

Students must be signed-up in advance. Prices may vary.

All students are required to wear uniforms from Flynn O'Hara and closed-toed shoes. We do have spirit day on Fridays when the kids can wear blue jeans and spirit shirts, if they choose.

Westlake Prep offers a hot lunch program with kid-friendly meals prepared by a local catering company. There are a variety of meals for students to purchase.  

Students can also bring their own. 

Homeroom teachers send out weekly emails and monthly newsletters for parents with information about the upcoming activities. The Head of the School and Director of Admissions also send out communications on occasion with important info. 

Yes, all academic teachers are certified by the State of Texas. They all have a minimum of an undergraduate degree; some teachers have advanced degrees are encouraged to participate in ongoing professional development. 

We select textbooks that are approved by the Texas Board of Education and supplement our curriculum with enriched math and reading programs. We teach all subjects including Theology from a Christian perspective. 

The Lutheran Education Association of Houston (LEAH Schools) offers need-based tuition assistance to students at Westlake Lutheran as well as our sister schools, Lutheran South Academy and LEAH Schools North Academy for grades K-12.

Each family’s situation is unique, and the ability of a family to contribute financially is based on many factors, such as combined salary, available assets, or the number of children in tuition-required schools. Westlake Lutheran also requires both parents, regardless of their marital status, to submit annual tax returns.

Awards are made for a single year only. Families must reapply for tuition assistance on an annual basis.
