Students have access points to singing, graphic arts, sound engineering, stage design, dancing and an annual, large-scale theatrical performance, the Spring Musical. Students may participates in various roles with grades 5-9 taking on the leading roles, and the youngest students helps with some of the choir pieces and support roles/extras. Past performances include The Wizard of Oz, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and the Lion King.
MUSIC
Students in our lower school program learn the fundamentals of music by singing, using rhythm instruments, learning notes, and studying music theory. Middle School students have access to beginning and advanced band with instrument selections, choir, and choral production.
VISUAL ARTS
Lower School students attend art classes for 90 minutes each week, building a foundation in the elements and principles of art through experiences in many different types of media. Middle School students continue to develop those skills in grades 5 through 9 as they further explore 3D art, sculptures, perspective, pottery and beyond.
